Testimonials

“I can’t believe I have the chance to give a testimonial for the quality of service Jim Southward has given me since 1986. I have their phone number memorized, so I don’t check their website. I just wanted to verify their address, and came across this link.

In 1985 I was a bartender, going to school at U.C. Berkeley to finish my math degree and also got the contract to computer score San Francisco Marathon. I jumped into it. My business grew. I became good friends with the legendary Len Wallach, the genius behind the Bay to Breakers race, and the Director of the 1984 Men’s and Women’s Olympic Marathons in Los Angeles. The culmination of my W-2 income from working as a bartender, and having a Schedule-C for my race scoring business rubbed the IRS computers the wrong way, and I got audited for 1985, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, then they gave me a break but called me in again in 1996. I always did my own taxes for all those years, and Jim was so respected by the IRS, and he is so skilled in helping me, that he got me to a point that the last 5 audits ended up with either no changes or tiny $700 adjustments. Thanks to Jim, my audits were clean, and fun too. I don’t know what I would have done without him.
Through all these years my before tax income has grown from $20K a year when I was a student, to over $370K a year after I became a respected IT professional. Jim’s skill helped me through it all. I still do my own taxes, and I recommend Jim Southward as an Enrolled Agent for anyone.”
